A day of lectures by Simon Curtis will cover his recent findings on the equine hoof capsule. Most of the new knowledge comes from his PhD and is supplemented by other research and studies. The day will take you on a journey of learning. A deeper understanding of the anatomy, physiology, and development of the hoof will lead to better practical outcomes in the hoof- care, farriery and veterinary professions. This is not just a day of knowledge; it is a day to improve hoof-care.
The day is divided into four parts:

3. How Weight-Bearing and Loading Affects Hoof Wall Growth
